PERFORMS

Pas de Cinq

This ensemble, born at the Royal Conservatory of Flanders (Belgium), consists of five classical trained musicians (Matthias Koole, Kobe Van Cauwenberghe, Fabian Coomans, Aldo Aranda and Stefan Prins ) who are all very active in the contemporary music scene as a performer, improviser and/or composer.

They joined together for the first time in 2003 to perform Mauricio Kagels “Pas de Cinq” and since then form a fixed group, named after Kagels piece, investigating art that resides on the borders of music and theatre. Their objective is to look for new ways of using instruments, new ways to communicate with the audience, new concert-environments.
